Our Owner Operator Trucking Options

When it comes to our owner operator trucking opportunities, we have two main opportunities available. These include:

1. Inside Owner - drivers operating under our authority
2. Outside Owner - drivers operating under their own authority and plates

The basic difference between these two types of owner operator trucking jobs is in the compensation package provided as well as other benefits and expenses involved. This includes compensation percentage, additional compensation, fuel compensation, insurance and licensing requirements, and fuel taxes.

Inside Owner Operator Benefits & Compensation

For drivers who choose to operate under our authority, the following benefits and requirements apply:

• Compensation: 69% of gross revenue of loads, which includes fuel surcharges (if applicable)
• Additional compensation: 69% of any stop pay invoiced to a customers and 100% pay for loading/unloading service
• Liability Insurance: Owner operators must operate under our liability insurance and pay a portion of the cost (subsidized by Network Transportation)
• Bobtail/Physical Damage Insurance: For our owner operator trucking opportunities, owners can provide their own bobtail and physical damage insurance or they can obtain this coverage through Network Transportation
• Occupational Accident Insurance: Owner operators must provide their own occ/acc insurance or they can obtain this coverage through Network Transportation
• Licensing and Plates: Network Transportation provides plates for our owner operators at a reduced cost
• Performance Bond: Our owner operator trucking opportunities require drivers to post a $1200 performance bond
• Maintenance Account: We offer owner operators the option of withholding funds in a maintenance account that can be withdrawn as needed
• Fuel Taxes: We file quarterly fuel taxes on behalf of our owner operator trucking drivers, the amount due is subtracted from drivers’ settlements
• Fuel Cards: Fuel cards are provided to all inside owner operators and a $5.00 fee is charged each time the card is used to fuel the truck

Outside Owner Operator Benefits & Compensation

For our owner operator trucking opportunities for those operating under their own authority and plates, the following compensation and requirements apply:

• Compensation: 75% of gross revenue for all miles (including empty miles) when pulling our trailers and 83% for all miles (including empty miles) when pulling driver owned trailers
• Fuel Charges: Outside owner operator trucking drivers are responsible for purchasing their fuel.
• Insurance: Outside owner operators are responsible for maintain current liability and cargo insurance as well as bobtail and physical damage insurance
• Operating Expenses: These owners are responsible for all operating expenses except for repairs to our trailers and loading/unloading expenses
